Policies

I know how important your dog is to you, and I’m here to help you feel confident and informed every step of the way!

Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions I get about my dog walking services. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m always happy to help!

Health & Safety Requirements

To ensure a safe and healthy experience for everyone, dogs must be licensed and wear a secure collar with identification tags.

They must also be up-to-date on their vaccinations. We accept documentation for Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza), as well as titer tests.

While flea and tick prevention is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

Hours Of Operation

I am available Monday through Friday!

Summer Schedule:

Morning pick-ups begin around 7:00 AM, followed by a one-hour hike and drop-offs. Afternoon walks start with pick-ups around 11:00 AM.

Winter Schedule:

Morning pick-ups begin around 8:30 AM, followed by a one-hour hike and drop-offs. Afternoon hikes start with pick-ups around 12:30 PM.

Please note that I am closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Occasionally, I may take additional holidays or vacation time, but I will provide a minimum of two weeks’ notice, except in cases of personal emergencies.

Weather Conditions

We will continue to hold walks regardless of the weather, but safety is our top priority.

In cases of extreme weather—such as heat advisories, freezing temperatures, or severe storms—we may delay, cancel, or reschedule hikes at any time.

You will be contacted the day before or the day of the hike to discuss your options.

Payment Policy

We provide flexible payment options, either monthly or bi-monthly. Payments are processed via e-transfer to saramctavish@outlook.com

Late payments exceeding two weeks may lead to service suspension until the account is updated.

Scheduling & Canellations

You can cancel a walk at any time before I arrive. If I have already arrived at your location, a travel fee may apply. To avoid this fee, please inform us as early as possible.

Emergency Protocol

Emergencies are uncommon, but I am prepared.

If an emergency occurs during a hike, I will take immediate action to ensure your dog receives prompt first aid and/or medical care. If I am unable to reach you, I reserve the right to take your dog to the nearest veterinarian.

Legal & Liability

By using our services, you permit me to enter your property as necessary for the pick-up or drop-off of your dog(s). While I take great care of your pet, I cannot be held responsible for any damage your pet may cause while left alone.

To celebrate your dog’s time with me, I will occasionally take photos and videos during outings. I enjoy highlighting the training progress and memorable moments that dogs experience! These images may be shared on my website, social media, newsletters, or other promotional materials. They can also be used for marketing, educational purposes, or to showcase your pet’s fun!

If you would prefer that your pet not be featured, please let me know—I will always respect your privacy. (Please note that animals are considered property.)
